Breakfast was fresh and just right to get my day started. I also really enjoyed dinner: the set menu had a couple of choices per course, was great value, and everything was freshly made with local ingredients. The room was spotless and quiet, with lovely views over the rolling countryside. I stayed one night in early September while heading back to the UK, and would happily return in the coming years, if there's a room available.

A clean little bar in a lovely area. I can't comment on the hotel, and the barman didn't speak English, so I only had one beer.

The food was delicious and came in generous portions, and the service was warm and pleasant. We’d noticed the menu while hiking nearby, with its local ingredients, tempting small selection, and very reasonable prices, so we came in that evening. The lovely setting has little reminders of the school that used to be there. We had a wonderful time, thank you so much.

There were three of us, arriving at 7 p.m. on a Saturday after a good walk, but they turned us away even though only two tables were occupied. We were told to come back during the week. Very disappointing. Maybe you should change jobs, sir!

The meal was exquisite, and the service was perfectly timed. We came for dinner, and the dining room has been made out of a former school classroom. The gentleman who welcomed us also served our table, and he was kind and pleasant. A place I’d gladly visit again and again. Thank you for a lovely experience.
