Les Trois Cyprès

I’ve been returning to Le mas des trois cyprès since I was a child, and it’s still one of my favorite places to visit when I’m in France. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from the center of Saint Remy de Provence, with marché provençal, shopping and cafés nearby, yet the property is incredibly peaceful. It’s perfect for a nap by the pool, reading a book or admiring the Alpilles view. The gorgeous Provençal farmhouse feels authentic, beautifully decorated, and full of treasured objects and warm memories. André, Martine and their children are wonderful hosts. Their hospitality, warmth and generosity, along with their excellent knowledge of the area and its history, make a stay here unforgettable. For a true Provençal experience, this is the place. You’ll end up feeling at home too.

We came back in October, a quieter and more romantic time, after discovering the Mas des 3 cyprès that summer. We fell for St Rémy and the surrounding area, as well as the Mas and the people there. It’s a comfortable, convenient place for a holiday, and the big pool kept us cool even during the heatwave. Meeting André, who speaks fluent English, Martine, their children and the other guests is part of what makes the trip worthwhile.

At this timeless country house bed and breakfast, lush gardens surround the swimming pool, and guests gather in the late afternoon on the arbor-shaded patio to sip wine and talk about their day. If you want an authentic French holiday filled with hospitality, beauty and savoir faire, this is the place.

I’ve stayed with Andre several times over the past few years and loved the time there. It’s a very special place, made even more special by the generous hosts, Andre and Martine.
