Domaine de Chatenay - Le Mans

The peaceful grounds are great for walking a dog, and I've found the hotel a warm, quiet retreat from the rush of everyday life. I've stayed twice while travelling to the UK, first with my husband and then most recently on my own with my dog. We were made to feel very welcome both times. The room was airy, elegant, clean and fresh, with a comfortable bed and calming quiet. I loved the decor throughout, and breakfast in the beautiful room full of quirky art and antiques. Thank you to Domaine de Chatenay for such a restful stay in your charming home.

Our hostess was so friendly and made our dog feel welcome too. We loved our stay at the charming, well-loved Domaine de Chatenay. The room had lovely decor and sweet little touches, and felt cosy and tranquil. The bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed a peaceful hot bath in the cute, elegant bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful. We'd love to come back and see more of the beautiful rooms.

Benoit was an amazing host, so helpful and friendly. I picked this place almost by accident in a Google search and am really glad I did. I had a great one-night stay, and would definitely return if I'm in the area. The location is lovely, close to Le Mans yet out in the countryside, with beautiful trees, lots of quiet, and even a friendly donkey. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were as expected. Everything was very clean and hygienic for the Covid conditions at the time, without feeling unusual. The shower was really good too. Things were different because of Covid, so my experience may not be representative of a usual visit.

After a wonderful week at Domaine de Chatenay, we returned to Ireland feeling relaxed and refreshed. Benoît and everyone at Chatenay made us very welcome. It's wonderfully peaceful and quiet, while still being very convenient for Le Mans. A friend recommended it to us, and we can see why. A real hidden gem.
