Erik and Mireille were wonderful hosts, and La Pertuzerie turned out to be a fantastic find. After a very long journey, we were shown to a spacious, comfortable room and offered refreshments. We’d requested an evening meal, which was delicious and included lots of home-grown produce. In fine weather there are plenty of pleasant spots outside for eating or relaxing. Breakfast was generous, with homemade jams, different breads, croissants, cheese, yogurts, fruit, and eggs if you wanted them. Since we had another long drive ahead and dislike service station food, we asked for a picnic bag. There was plenty of wonderful food for our 11-hour journey. La Pertuzerie is well worth the short detour off the A10, and we’ll be back next year.

When our car broke down, the owners picked us up and helped us get to the train station. Just amazing service from outstanding hosts. We also loved the peaceful rural setting, all the greenery and nice places to sit, and the character of the accommodation. Dinner at the dinner table was lovely and highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back, it’s such a gem!
