Bastide Saint-Thomé

Denis and his wife made us feel so welcome. We’d booked a twin room, but since the double was free, they let us have that instead. We also had some really interesting conversations with Denis, and his wife made an excellent breakfast. It was such a pleasure meeting such kind hosts. Thank you both!

The valley views from the property are magnificent, and the welcome was warm. Denis was so attentive that I felt looked after even before I arrived. Breakfast was superb, especially the homemade yogurt and jams. With a little more time, I’d have loved to relax by the pool. The cicadas made it a special moment.

The room at La Bastide de St Thomé was spacious, clean, and perfectly appointed, with an idyllic view and setting. We stayed five nights and came away with nothing but good things to say. Denis’s humor and invaluable advice made the visit memorable, and Danny’s kindness and delicious breakfasts are already missed. The hospitality exceeded what we expected, and the whole place felt like a little corner of paradise. Thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable. We’ll definitely return on our next visit. Christophe and his wife were charming hosts, always available, and the generous breakfast had delicious local products. The bastide is thoughtfully laid out, with bedrooms and private outdoor spaces. It’s a lovely base for slowing down and discovering a less familiar part of the Ardèche, from the hilltop villages to the little restaurants and vineyards. A must-see!
