Appartement coeur de Saint-Tropez

Catherine was a real lifesaver when we got stranded in St Tropez. We had booked this place for the following day, but she helped us get in much earlier when we were stuck. She’s a gem, honestly one in a million. The location is great, the accommodation was clean, and it had lots of household bits, including an iron and ironing board, which made it feel like home. Breakfast is served every morning. I’d recommend Catherine without hesitation. What a woman! After our two nights, though, we had a lot more to say. Breakfast was just one mini croissant, one pain au chocolat, a small pat of butter and two tiny rusks. There was no milk. They did provide two large bottles of water and two small ones. Parking cost €50 per sunrise, so for two nights we had to pay for three days, €150 in total. The street parking was extremely tight. On our last day, accommodation staff came to our place at 10am demanding the €50 per day parking fee, as if we might run off without paying. They walked right in, which felt like an invasion of privacy. Restaurant Salama, two doors down, has a restaurant that turns into a club after midnight. Its staff felt intimidating. When we walked down the street to our accommodation, Restaurant Salama staff asked why we were going in, which made us uncomfortable. The towels weren’t changed during the stay, even though the hosts live directly above. The tiny fridge was so noisy it could keep you awake, and the lighting could be much better. We initially gave five stars, but the way we were treated on the last day changed our rating.
