We liked the port of Saint-Tropez, with its colorful old buildings and lively feel. Along the harbor, fishermen's boats sit alongside multi-million-euro yachts, a fun mix of tradition and glamour. A simple lunch menu can start at around €20-30. Parking near the port was perfect for us, safe and big enough, at 6-7 € for 2 h.
Such a beautiful place 😊 Better start saving if you want to go there 😉
Seeing this place for the first time was unforgettable. I grew up watching Louis de Funès, especially the iconic Gendarme series, and being here felt magical. It took me right back to those funny, warm films I used to watch with my family.
Wow, arriving by taxi boat was easy, and the old city is wonderful.
I expected more from St Tropez after hearing so much about it, and skipped other places to come here. We took the ferry from Nice on Tuesday, when there was a town market in the market square. I didn't find anything particularly special there. There are rows of high-end boutiques and shops if branded goods are your thing, and plenty of restaurants at the port. The only cafe we found was near the market square. The self-operated public toilet cost 50 cent and was very dirty. Personally, I won't go back.
