La Bastide du Port

Stay clear of this place. The rooms are run down and smell like mold, the beds are awful, and the pillows are the worst. There's no restaurant in the hotel. The manager, Valerie, scammed me out of 450 euro and was dismissive and rude when I asked for a refund. She even yelled at me. I had booked a king bed room for 4 nights at 570$ euro per night. At check-in they put me in a room with a twin bed and said nothing else was available until the next day. The following day they moved me to a downgraded room with a king bed, which cost 420$ euro per night. This hotel is barely one star.

It's less than a five-minute walk to St Tropez centre. We had a nice room at the back, with a balcony over the beautiful courtyard. The room itself was pleasant, though the TV sat two feet below the ceiling and didn't work. The one downside was the older, blond-haired receptionist, who seemed to have an allergy to anyone speaking English, whether a native speaker or not.

Parking was excellent, free, and available on the property. The city centre is about a 10-minute walk away, and there are plenty of supermarkets nearby. We stayed two nights in July. Our ground-floor room by the courtyard was fine at first, and the room and bathroom were a decent size. The bathroom had recently been renovated. But breakfast is served in the courtyard at 7am, and the noise was annoying in the morning. I asked several reception staff, on both day and night shifts, for a dental kit. Nobody followed up to say it wasn't available, which is unusual for a four-star hotel. Three stars at best.

Staff were helpful and always smiling, and parking at the back was convenient. The rooms are beautiful and town is within walking distance. The walls are a little thin, so guests need to keep that in mind to enjoy their rooms.
