Les Amandiers

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and pleasant, and the hotel looked just as immaculate as it does in the photos. We had a fantastic two-night stay. It’s very close to town by car, Uber, or taxi, though not really within walking distance. The beaches and wineries are nearby too, which made it a great place to unwind.

For the price, the room and amenities were basic but fine. The pool was nice, there was free private parking, and St.Tropez was a short drive away. The host eventually let us bring the car in, and the woman was calm and pleasant. We had an okay stay with little interaction after that. Her husband ignored me throughout, including when I greeted him after we crossed paths. That felt petty, and we won’t come back or recommend it to friends. The arrival was the part that left a sour taste. We got there around 1.20ish pm, before the stated 3pm check-in, hoping to leave the car in the large parking area. The property is gated, and no one answered the bell or our calls for about ten minutes. We honestly wondered if we’d been scammed. Later, the hosts ignored the doorbell on purpose, then texted me from another number about their reception hours. We had to contact Booking customer service to get them to respond. If they didn’t want us to come in yet, they could have just said so over the intercom. They seemed upset, especially her husband, who came out of the room and tried to shove his phone in our faces. They expected us to know the Bed & Breakfast rules, but those weren’t listed in the property information and we hadn’t received instructions before the stay. For reference, their hours are 8am - 12pm and 3pm - 8pm, and outside those times you may get no response. Different places have different rules, so guests can’t be expected to know them unless they’re explained. Other places we stayed on this trip sent clear instructions and communicated really well. That contrast made this experience all the more disappointing.

We felt right at home at Les Amendiers. Madame Anna is warm, gentle, and kind, and her place is clean and wonderfully relaxing. Make sure to have breakfast in the garden. The location is handy, close to the city and main beach, and there’s a very good pizza service nearby with a skilled Italian pizzaiolo. We’d love to visit Anna again, and highly recommend staying here. Lorenzo&Chiara

The surroundings are lovely, with greenery everywhere. The rooms are on the small side, but clean and have most of what you need: a fridge, large closet, TV, hair dryer, and private bathroom with a shower. It’s an okay place, though not great. Breakfast costs 10 euro extra and didn’t feel worth it. They even wanted to charge more for an egg. It also felt a little odd to have them watching us while we ate, as if they didn’t trust us on our own.
