Moulin De Beuzidou

The kitchen had all the equipment we needed, and the inside felt really cozy. Catherine was a lovely host, available when we needed her but never in the way. We loved staying at le moulin. Thanks so much, Catherine.

We were glad to enjoy the rest of Brittany, because the apartment was close to uninhabitable. There was a heavy damp and mold smell, along with a stench from the septic tank. Even clothes we hadn't worn had to be washed when we got home. Reviews had apparently mentioned this problem six years earlier too. The place seemed uncleaned for years, with dust everywhere and a neglected feel. The sheets and towels smelled strongly, the furniture was worn, and the sofa was extremely uncomfortable. The TV was tiny and had no remote. There was no internet beyond a weak Wi-Fi signal, so it was no use for working. The electricity seemed faulty too, and charging devices took ages. Getting to both the apartment and the parking area was difficult. Breakfast was advertised, but we got it for just one day. Little frogs obediently wandered under the front door, and a snail's carcass was still under the inside wall, waiting to be cleared away.

We found the peaceful nature break we wanted for a weekend with friends, six people and a dog. There are lovely walks close by through a beautiful forest, and the house is charming and unusual. We had no dampness issues, and our host was very welcoming. It was a pleasure.

The welcome was so warm, and we had a wonderful stay. We were after a quiet place in nature and weren't let down. The cottage was magnificent!
