We spent four nights in Elke and Xavier's charming gypsy caravan and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The grounds are lovely, with a stunning view of the castle, and we quickly fell for the Dordogne region 🥰. It's a handy base for visiting Lascaux and the area's caves, sinkholes, troglodyte dwellings and castles. We'd love to come back. Highly recommended!

Le Coustaty was a hit with all of us, and the staff were warm and friendly. It's peaceful, with lots for families or couples to do: there's a pool, volleyball court, swings and go-karts for children. Our room for two in the main house was lovely, and the cottages are well-equipped too. The place can host up to 29 people, so it works well for groups. The kitchen felt a bit too basic for the price, and breakfast seemed expensive at €8 for a croissant, coffee and two pieces of bread. Some cold cuts or cheese would have made it more like a typical cottage breakfast.

The location is very good, and it's a shame the place doesn't live up to its potential. We stayed for a weekend with friends in May 2022. It wasn't very clean, the owner was drinking rosé and smoking at 5:00 PM, and the sheets smelled of cigarette smoke. The food was very mediocre, and the picnic we'd ordered was meager. I really can't recommend it.

Xavier and Elke made us feel very welcome, and they're such friendly owners that we'd happily return. The medieval tent and gypsy caravan both have loads of character. The grounds are clean, the homemade food is delicious, and the pool is just right for cooling off in summer. A lovely, relaxing place!

The hosts are around when you need them, and the local food is good. The lodges are set apart in the park, with a real sense of independence, and the rooms are well kept. The 1960s feel might put some people off at first, but its charm won me over pretty quickly. Bravo.
