I was given a different room from the one I paid for. The clerk didn't speak English, so it was nearly impossible to explain the problem and get it sorted out.

No one was at the reception desk when we arrived, so we had to leave and find another hotel. It was a very bad experience.

The hotel is in a great spot just outside Paris, but communication at reception was difficult because the English was poor. We spent one night in a family room with two adults and two children. It was hot and full of flies, and opening the windows to cool the room only let more in. There were blood marks on the mattresses and ceilings from earlier fly swatting, and we could hear people swatting flies in their rooms through the night. Nobody in our family slept well, if at all.

I checked out after the breakfast incident and left in the dark, walking in the rain to the bus stop. What should have been the end of a lovely vacation became a nightmare. Before leaving, I pointed out the dining room wall's “Welcome to our home” message and told the receptionist I hadn't felt welcome at all. At 6:30 a.m. on September 4, 2024, I went to the self-serve breakfast area before catching the airport bus. The receptionist was helping two guests, then looked at me disdainfully and demanded my room number. After I gave it to her, she reprimanded and humiliated me in front of them, saying breakfast wasn't included in my stay. I explained that I'd assumed it was, since a previous night there had included breakfast. She kept scolding me until I said I'd leave the food, and she replied, “As you wish!” She was furious over something minor. If she'd spoken to me privately and explained, I would have paid. I've never been to a worse hotel and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. This woman badly needs a course in Etiquettes and Manners for Hotel Staff/Front Office Staff. Plus Jamais!
