The Originals Relais Hotel Saint-Roch

Having a separate room for our baby made this hotel a great fit for us. It’s in the middle of a small village, tastefully renovated, and welcoming to both animals and babies. We might have enjoyed it more in summer. A fridge in the room and a bit more variety at breakfast would’ve been nice, but we still recommend it.

The room had no soundproofing at all, so children jumping around upstairs woke us up. The downstairs rooms are either beside an elderly home and the road, or next to the breakfast room. There’s no reception, security, or other services, and you enter using a code sent on the day you arrive. The young woman working there was the rudest, most entitled person I’ve ever met in this kind of business. And the owner’s reply was full of lies and exaggerations. What unprofessional people. Avoid at all costs.

The breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of it. We stayed for two nights, and the hotel was lovely, with everything new, high quality, and practical. They’d thought of the details that make a stay easier, including a list of nearby restaurants and their contact information. Many thanks to our hostess for being so helpful and kind.

We really enjoyed the homemade food at the restaurant the owners run just 50 meters from the hotel. They’re very friendly Belgians. The hotel itself is quiet and lovely, recently renovated, and only a few kilometers from the highway, making it a good stopover. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well equipped. It’s also very close to Uzerche, a beautiful village in the Corrèze region.
