We had plenty of room in the suite, and everyone slept well. Corinne even set up a changing table and crib for our 4-month-old, so we felt at home right away. There are rows of grape vines behind the house to wander through, and lots of wineries nearby. La Hourqueyre has the beauty and authentic feel we were hoping for.

We first came across La Hourqueyre's wine at a gastronomy fair in Brest, back when the house still made and sold it, a long time ago. We remember the lovely rooms, the beautiful house, and a hostess who looked after us incredibly well. The bed and breakfast is still open, so we'll try to come back at least once.

The quiet location and really comfortable beds made it easy to feel at ease. Dogs are welcome too, which says a lot about the hospitable feel of La Hourqueyre. Corinne is warm and relaxed, greeting guests with a smile as if they were family. Her childhood home has that French charm, with vintage touches that give it a lot of personality. Each room is lovingly furnished in its own way, and the small French breakfast is a nice chance to chat with the other guests. We’re already looking forward to coming back.
