Céline welcomed our group warmly at this simple municipal gîte inside the village walls, which has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Her delicious evening meals helped us forget the effort of the day. Céline is still managing the place for a little while, and does so with a firm hand. We wish her every success in her next venture in Le Caylar. If we return to Aveyron, we’ll make sure to visit her. All the best, Céline!
We spent five fantastic days here with a group of 23 hikers, exploring the region on foot and sightseeing. The gîte was quiet, pleasant, and clean, and the meals were delicious and very generous. We got to try La Flaune, which was excellent! Sainte-Eulalie is a lovely village too. A huge thank you to Céline for being so warm, available, and kind. I can finally shout “Thank you!”, I’ve got my voice back! Go and stay here, you won’t be disappointed.
Céline, the manager, is friendly and attentive to what guests ask for. The place works well for a relaxing stay or a celebration, and can host groups of up to 25. There are two separate ground-floor rooms, so adults and children can have distinct spaces. Each sleeping area is independent and well equipped, with a shower, toilet, and kitchen.
This place sits among roads that should delight anyone on two wheels. My friend and I came across the magnificent medieval city during a motorcycle trip. It felt like stepping into the 14th century, in the time of Charles VII. A great stop on our journey!
Our brass band was able to rehearse all weekend, and meals could be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace in the heart of the village. The dining area was spacious, and the bedrooms in the tower felt like a dream. The gîte had all the amenities we needed for an unforgettable retreat. From the moment we arrived, its position inside the ramparts and the magnificent tower made us feel transported to the Middle Ages. Jean welcomed us warmly, as did the local people.
