ibis budget Nantes Sainte-Luce - Hôtel Rénové

Room 205 was clean and practical, though pretty small, and we had a bathroom leak that staff dealt with right away. The TV was excellent, but there were no tea or coffee facilities. We arrived just before 4pm on 5/10 and had to wait until 4 for someone to be available. The staff member who welcomed us was pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was decent, though the staff member seemed reluctant to put out the ham and eggs together. She wasn’t much help and wouldn’t even try speaking English. You get a code for the outside gate and the front door and room. I probably wouldn’t stay again unless I had to, it was a bit too budget for us.

The air conditioning barely cooled the room even with 27 C outside, so I was glad it was cool at night and could switch it off and open the window. The internet was slow and kept dropping, and there was a serious mold problem that could be a health hazard for many people. It’s not a convenient spot for visiting Nantes, and it doesn’t deserve the Ibis Budget name.

We only stopped for one night on the drive to Roscoff. The room was clean and tidy, but although we’d booked for three, only the double bed had been made up, so I had to make the single bed myself. The hotel is very basic, and the staff weren’t very helpful. You get what you pay for.

The rooms are old, and there were cockroaches all over ours. This was the worst ibis budget I’ve ever stayed in. Breakfast was normal for a two-star hotel, and the employees were very friendly.
