Everything was clean and functional, but the hotel felt very unwelcoming and even a bit suspicious. We'd travelled all over the world during the past two years and had never been asked for a €150 deposit after paying in full. Check-in wasn't until 4pm, and the place was closed from 12.30 to 4.00. We had to check out by 10.30am or pay for another day. The car park was advertised as free, but it wasn't. And you have to order the buffet breakfast by 8am. It's a buffet! Hotels should make guests feel welcome. If this is Gallic charm, it isn't working.

The only real drawback was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms, which could make things hot in summer. Otherwise, a really lovely hotel in Sainte-Marie-de-Re. Great service and staff, and the hire bikes were in good condition. Fab stay.

It's a no-frills hotel, but still very chic. We enjoyed staying here and have already started planning next year's trip. The Tripadvisor pictures don't do the place justice.

The outdoor pool is a good size, and the rooms are spacious with comfy beds. Great location.

A good choice for families with young kids who want activities centered around the pool. You can rent bikes right there, and the buffet breakfast is decent.
