La Bastide du Cantal

We had a family reunion of 23 adults and 10 children, and the hotel’s “convivial” gathering package worked perfectly for us. The staff were very friendly and took care of the meals while we handled the aperitifs and table service. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. From La Bastide du Canta, it’s under a half-hour walk to Salers along a marked trail, and about a 20-minute drive to Puy Mary.

The manager kept smiling and was wonderfully accommodating when an unexpected issue meant we couldn’t go to a local restaurant. He charmed us with his knowledge and anecdotes, and the food was delicious. His children were part of the warm, friendly team too, and together they made this one of our best stays. The family-run place is peaceful and close to Salers, with excellent service, tasty meals, and even a little gourmet treat waiting in our room. There’s also an elevator for guests with mobility difficulties. For a group wanting a relaxed, welcoming place, this really worked for us.

Our group had a wonderful stay near Salers, with beautiful views all around. It was quiet, the rooms were spacious, and the beds were excellent. The owner and staff did everything they could to make sure we were happy. We felt at home in the friendly, family atmosphere. Thank you for everything, and all the best. There were 32 of us, and everyone enjoyed the stay. The setting was calm and pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and the meals were excellent. We were greeted very warmly too.
