I've never stayed in a room or hotel that smelled this bad, of cigarettes and sewage. We lasted 5 minutes, decided to leave, and still had to pay 130 euros for nothing, even though the hotel wasn't fully booked. The woman at the desk tried to be nice and said I must be sensitive to the spray they use to make things smell better. Funny. Unbelievable. I ended up at Zugno, which was much better. This is the first bad review I've ever posted. I've already contacted a few friends in the industry to take it one step further. Such a shame, and really worth nothing. I'll spare you the other stories about checking in.

The hotel looks nice and is well maintained, and the staff were capable and helpful. For the price, though, we expected a different standard. Our room was quite small, the bathroom doorknob was broken, and the previous guest had left with the key. That's not reassuring, even if it wasn't entirely the hotel's fault. We booked the room and Thermes two months ahead for a romantic weekend, but the Thermes visit was a very disappointing experience. We arrived to find 60 people there, and even though our sessions were booked together, they weren't scheduled at the same time. It felt quite ordinary, not particularly luxurious, which was also surprising for the price. I wouldn't recommend it.

The welcome was so warm when we stopped by for drinks several times with a young friend who uses a wheelchair that the three of us decided to come back for a meal. The food was absolutely excellent, and the service was exemplary. Special mention to the manager, who looked after us so thoughtfully both during the drinks visits and at dinner. We'll definitely return.
