We had a great time!

Breakfast doesn’t start until 9, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy it. It was tasty and generous, and the regional dinner arrived piping hot in a lovely wicker basket. We also really liked the rosé. Our bubble, Muscadelle, was fully transparent and tucked deep in the woods, a long way from everything. The warm spa was such a treat, and the bubble itself had good heating and air conditioning. There’s secure parking on site, followed by a quick ride to your bubble in an electric buggy. Everything was provided, and the whole stay felt wonderfully thought through for switching off. We loved this enchanting night and will definitely come back. Just bring sleep masks if you don’t want to wake early, and maybe earplugs too.

The welcome was warm and the service attentive. We spent a magical night in such a peaceful, idyllic setting, and I won’t forget it anytime soon. I’d absolutely recommend this place.

For my 30th birthday, my partner treated me to a night in the Merlot bubble. The peaceful location was great for switching off, we spotted wildlife, and the bubble was nicely decorated. That’s why I’m giving it three stars, since the place and idea are appealing, even though the problems took away from the stay and spoiled the rest of our time in Bordeaux. The upkeep felt neglected. The jacuzzi bubbles wouldn’t stop without tapping it, one of the outdoor chairs had broken wood with a nail sticking out, which was dangerous, and just one of the five electric candles worked. That’s disappointing in a place meant to feel romantic. The €105 “gourmet tasting platter” was a plate of charcuterie, canned pâté, four cheese slices, and two slices of cake we didn’t enjoy. I wouldn’t call it a menu, just a charcuterie and cheese platter. You could find the same products in a supermarket for €2. The other set menus cost less, include a starter, main and dessert, and are probably better quality. The person who welcomed us was unpleasant too. She was meant to leave the baskets by the bubble entrance for privacy, but didn’t do that with either the aperitif or the charcuterie platter. When we offered to take the aperitif basket, she sighed and said, “I don’t feel like it anymore,” then left.
