Campanile Salon De Provence

We'd booked ahead as a large group, but only learned on arrival, after a very long drive, that the restaurant was being refurbished. That left us stuck. Apparently, France shuts down on Sundays, and there wasn't a single local restaurant open.

It was very dirty, and I only stayed because my other hotel was too far from town. I wouldn't recommend anyone come here unless new management takes over and gives every room a thorough clean.

My Tour Manager noticed a peep hole in the blinds, aimed at the place where I was sleeping, so someone could look inside. The bathroom was just as bad, with mold around the tiles, and I found a long black hair in the middle of the bed when I pulled back the linen. It made me think the sheets hadn't been changed. Disgusting. Getting into room 46 was awful too. After I went through the second door, I was trapped inside and nearly pulled the door off its frame trying to get out. The staff were cold and unfriendly from the start. And the restaurant? I'm not sure they can really call it one. I ordered Raviola and got plain raviola squares with no sauce. My travel companion's Saumon and vegetables was canned saumon tipped onto frozen carrots and squash. The food was extremely bad. In all my travels, this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'll tell all my contacts never to consider staying here.

This is really a motel rather than a hotel, and it's okay for a single night. Parking is free and the Wi-Fi is good. Our room was dark, dated, and not very clean, though the food at the restaurant was good.
