Chambres d'hotes La Joubertie

Our little dog was made to feel just as welcome as we were, and he enjoyed the stay as much as us. The place was spotless, the breakfast was amazing, and the surroundings were calm and well looked after. A wonderful bed and breakfast with comfortable amenities. We’d love to come back as soon as we can.

There are lots of things to see and do nearby, and gîte l'Ostal sits right in the middle of the Dordogne region. We spent two weeks there with our 20-month-old son and had a lovely time. Virginie and Arnaud greeted us on arrival, showed us around, and were easy to reach if we had questions. They’re very sweet and hospitable. The recently renovated gîte is nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We highly recommend staying with them and will definitely be back.

Our two little kids had a blast here, and the cottage is child-friendly. The owners were very friendly and happy to answer questions, and they have a handy list of places to visit. It was fantastically built, with no creaky floors, and everything was clearly signposted. We’ve never stayed in a cottage that met all our requirements so well. It was also very clean.

The beds were really high quality, and the two covered terraces looking out over the garden and pool made it easy to unwind. One has a gas BBQ and the other a summer lounge. We stayed in the Ostal cottage for four people, a beautiful, newly renovated place that’s functional and tastefully decorated. It has modern comforts including air conditioning, while still keeping its old-world charm. The other cottage is similar but for two. The Joubertie cottages are in the heart of the Périgord region, with plenty of peace and quiet. It’s a great base for relaxing or exploring all the interesting places nearby. Arnaud and Virginie were friendly, attentive and discreet. We had a great stay and will be back, there’s still so much to see and do.
