Maison de Laura

HORRID! The apartment itself was tidy and well equipped, and I have no complaints about it. The location wasn’t ideal, though we already knew that. The owners were the real problem. They were very rude and disrespectful, especially near the end of our stay. As we loaded our suitcases into the car, both owners went straight into the apartment. Then they came back out yelling in front of me, my wife, and our young children, asking if we’d cleaned and saying it was still dirty. I said I didn’t know, and that we had to leave it spotless. When we made the reservation, we asked if everything was included and were told yes. They pointed to a sheet behind the door with the information written in French. Why hadn’t they told me by email when I asked? There was no need to yell or be so disrespectful. Communication matters. We either pay or clean! We were a couple with a one year old baby and a four year old child. For four days, we left the apartment at 9:00 and got back at 18:00, only to have dinner and sleep.

Tastefully decorated, and the hosts were exceptionally pleasant. It’s small but perfectly formed. Things can get surprisingly English in the South of France, so a sense of English humor helps. I’d gladly return.

The house was clean and nice, with a fully equipped kitchen, so you want for nothing. The owners were very friendly, respected our privacy, and were ready with information and advice. A pleasant place to stay.

The room was fabulous and clean, and there’s a lovely pool. The owners are kind, welcoming, and helpful. Weather permitting, they serve breakfast in the garden.
