They even prepared gluten-free amuse-bouche for me, which says a lot about how carefully they look after guests. I’m gluten intolerant, and in France I haven’t found many places that take such pride in making sure I can enjoy the meal. The restaurant and service are outstanding, but still feel unpretentious. Well worth a detour, whether or not you need gluten-free food.

We stayed overnight in November while travelling from Switzerland. The food was outstanding, service impeccable, and it was fun to try wines from the area. The next morning, Romuald showed us the wine cellar and talked about his long career at the top of the culinary scene. A real treat.

Every course surprised us in the best way, with great balance and products from the region. The chef was so welcoming and friendly, and the staff were amazing. The hotel and domaine are beautiful too. This was my first Michelin-starred restaurant, and without a doubt the best meal of my life. We’ll be back, and next time we’d love to stay at the hotel as well as have dinner. Highly recommended.

The food was great, with an innovative chef, R. Fassenet, and local wines that suited it well. It’s a lovely four-star château hotel, with a nice park and a big pool. This is a family-run place, and you can tell they put their hearts into it. That makes all the difference.
