The staff were friendly, but none of them actually helped when we asked about being put in the wrong house. We also found the half-board option hard to recommend, with almost no choice at breakfast. The entertainment was all in French, so a lot of it was inaccessible to us. This place really doesn't work for people who don't speak French, and we won't be back.

The campsite itself is lovely, but the sanitary block really stood out for the wrong reasons. Toilet seats were scattered around, there was no soap in the dispensers for six days, and the block wasn't being cleaned. Someone left feces in a shower, and even after we reported it to the office, it took another day for anyone to clean it.

We stayed May 27 to June 2 and had a lovely spot for our camper, but the grass and weeds hadn't been cut. The beach bar was meant to open June 1. It did open, though renovation work was still going on and it wasn't fully ready. If the campsite is open, everything should be open, and a rented pitch should be properly prepared.

We'd called several times to explain we were arriving late because of the harbour workers' strike, but when we got there our reserved spot was occupied. The fridge was a mess and I had to clean it myself. Sanitary facilities weren't cleaned every day and were disgusting at times. The employees weren't helpful, and we felt like a nuisance instead of welcome. First and last time.

We had an absolute blast at Merendella. The mobile home was top-notch, and the entertainment program was great fun. Everyone at the camp was welcoming, helpful, and full of positive energy. Such a great stay!
