The playground was broken, dangerous, and unusable, even though kids walking past clearly wanted to explore and play there. The grass area was unusable too. At the pool, if you're not there by 10 a.m., there won't be a single chair left, and we got only one set of towels for a 10-day stay. Apart from the cleaning ladies, we never saw staff. The beach and pool were loud and overcrowded. For an overpriced stay, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're willing to give up a peaceful holiday.

The reception team were cooperative and helped as much as they could, and our ground-floor room was clean on arrival with a good sea view. The location is good too, with beaches and restaurants nearby worth exploring. We came back after a week at Sognu di Rena with mixed feelings. We booked about four months ahead, drawn by the beach, kids' pool, pool bar, and garden for my son. The kids' pool and bar weren't open, and the garden wasn't open either, which was a big disappointment. The pool was fixed only the day before we left, after we'd already spent five days without it. There was no mobile network in the apartment and the Wi-Fi didn't work, so I had to walk to reception each day to get online and talk to family and friends. I don't know whether that's a budget or infrastructure issue. When you book a residence, you count on the whole package of services, not just the apartment. Arriving to find several things unavailable felt sad and unprofessional, and the customers ended up compromising their holiday after the business had already been secured. Would partial compensation be offered in a case like this? I can't comment on the owners' customer priorities. It's a good location for a laid-back holiday in North Corsica, and I can recommend it, but check beforehand that all the services are running. I'd like to hear back from Sognu di Rena if this review matters to them.
