It's a simple place with what you need for a decent rest, not a resort or a cosy, detail-focused French-style hotel. Our double room had enough space and a comfortable bed. There's no air conditioning, just a small tower fan, but the bathroom had been renovated and was new. For this location, the price was the best we found, even booking summer dates only a month ahead: €66 a night. You can use the pool from 9 am to 6 pm, and a nice beach plus cafés and restaurants are just a three-minute walk away. There isn't a hotel restaurant or bar, though the small mini market serves food and has snacks. That's all you need here to enjoy the amazing sea and beaches.

A good, clean and affordable hotel for a few days, especially if you're stopping before moving on somewhere else. The room was modest but comfortable, and there was free parking, a beach 300 metres away on foot, and good restaurants nearby. We arrived very late, after reception had closed, but they had everything ready for us and helped us a lot.

We had an electricity problem, apparently because another guest had plugged too many things into their room. I don't think it was the hotel's fault, but when we told the staff before leaving, they offered us a full breakfast. That's top tier service, incroyable!

The swimming pool is nice, and the beach is a ten-minute walk away. The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from Portovecchio and an hour from Bastia. But the building feels neglected: concrete is spalling off the balconies and mortar is falling in many places. It needs major refurbishment to reach a decent standard. The worst part is having no air conditioning, which makes summer nights hard to sleep through. In my view, it should be downgraded to one star.

Do yourself a favour and stay away. This place is absolutely horrible in every way.
