Clos La Boetie

The welcome was lovely, and the setting is magnificent. Our room was pleasant too, and the hotel is well located. We booked through a smart box and paid an extra supplement, so it was disappointing that the pool was cool, around 23 degrees even though the website listed 27. The jacuzzi helped make up for it, though it wasn't very clean. They should rethink the pool or its heating system.

For €210 a night, I expected much better service from a supposed 4-star hotel. Our room was quiet and the bedding was comfortable, but the room wasn't ready when we arrived, despite being handed the keys. They offered us a drink while we waited, but the manager was nearby and didn't apologize, and there was no reduction in the room price. The cleaning staff weren't wearing masks either.

The hotel was really quiet, and you couldn't hear the cars at all. In our room, the jacuzzi and shower were impeccable, and the outdoor pool and hammam were great too. The room was very clean, with spotless linens and slippers for each guest. The receptionist was fantastic, kind and attentive, and handled our room change with real understanding. My only slight disappointment was that the jacuzzi isn't private, so everyone at the hotel can use it at the same time. Otherwise, this is really top-notch for a 4-star hotel.

For this category, I found the housekeeping generally below standard. There were cobwebs in a room that cost over €150. I told reception, but they offered no compensation. Breakfast was quite basic, and the organization was poor, with nothing cleared away from previous guests. The decor also feels dated and could use a refresh. For a 4-star hotel, that's unacceptable.
