Martine and Claude made us feel right at home and were so helpful with recommendations for the area. We loved having breakfast in the pretty garden, facing the pool and surrounded by lavender. There was a great selection, from fresh pastries and fruit salad to cheese and yogurt, all served beautifully. The room was lovely too, with a comfortable bed, soft towels, and quality linen. The place sits on a hill, just a few minutes' drive from central Sarlat, so it feels peaceful while still being close to town. We'd happily recommend La Bella Plane and would love to come back.

We had a wonderful time here. Martine and Claude welcomed us warmly, gave us great recommendations, and served a lovely breakfast. It's a relaxing spot for lounging by the pool or heading out to explore nearby places. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

After cycling 1000 miles across France and staying in 28 chateaux, hotels and BnBs, from two to four stars, La Belle Plane in Sarlat was the clear winner for us. Breakfast alone was memorable: fruit salad, pastries and yogurt, plus Mme Martine's cakes and pastries. We had caneli on the first day, apple tart with a crisp buttery crust on the second, and Perigord walnut cake on the third. The gardens were beautiful, with a decent sized, clean pool, loungers and umbrellas. Guests can also use a lounge and kitchen area with a fridge and microwave. Our room was fresh, cool and clean, with an excellent shower room and a separate loo. The thick towels and luxurious bed linen stood out after all the other places we'd stayed. A five star experience at a very reasonable price.

The hosts were fantastic, and breakfast was superb. The property and its beautiful surroundings have real wow factor.

Martine and Claude were warm and attentive, and breakfast made with local and homemade products was delicious. We stayed at this newly opened guesthouse for a very pleasant weekend. The elegant room had a superb view of the town, and the former Périgord wine cellar has been beautifully renovated. It's ideally located about 1 km from the medieval town. We'd gladly return and recommend it to friends and family.
