It was easy to spend the day exploring villages, chateaux, gardens and vineyards, then come back to somewhere relaxed. Maison Pierre D’Or is a short walk from beautiful, interesting Sarlat, and my stay there was comfortable. The hosts were lovely, and the place had everything I wanted.

We stayed in the Matisse apartment at Maison Pierre D'Or over Easter, and it was better than we expected. It was spacious and immaculately clean, with Sarlat's lovely town centre just a five-minute walk away. After our long drive, the hosts' welcome basket of food was very much appreciated, and they were friendly and helpful throughout. The winding country roads around Sarlat make for nice little trips to nearby villages. Great value for the area, and I'd highly recommend it.

The hosts are kind and generous, and they go out of their way to make sure guests have a good stay. The home is a charming place to stay in Sarlat, within walking distance of the centre and well placed for visiting points of interest around the Perigord Noir. A good fit for anyone who loves to travel.

We found a lovely place to stay for a week at the beginning of May. The apartments are well equipped and just a short stroll from Sarlat's beautiful historic centre. The hosts made us feel so welcome that we'll be back! 😊
