That scenery was stunning as we travelled through, and the steak and frites were cooked just right with a big beer alongside. I only know about 10 French words, but our waitress was so friendly and made us feel welcome, helping us out as if we were locals. Couldn’t have asked for more.
We were hoping for a burger, and the one we got was good. They also had a dinner menu and breakfast as options. The room was clean and nice, with its own bathroom. We arrived without booking and they had a room for us. The staff were kind and friendly, and though they didn’t speak much English, they did their best with Google Translate.
After cycling over the Col Marie Blanque I was starving, so the quick service was welcome. The food was very decent, with plenty of meat. Good value for money.
The fresh-baked bread and all the jams were a highlight, and the coffee was fantastic. A perfect spot to stop for breakfast!
A great place to stay while you're heading toward the mountains.
