The apartment is modern and nicely furnished, and the location is quiet and a bit out of the way. You need a car to get around, and the carport is rather small. Self check-in went fine, although the landlady had already deregistered before I arrived. I stayed over Pentecost 2025, and unfortunately ran into several problems, including a serious one. The worst was a strong musty smell throughout the apartment. Ventilating it a lot and using the good quality air freshener provided didn't help, and the smell got worse when I turned on the A/C. I was concerned about breathing in mold spores, so I couldn't use the air conditioner, even though it was quite hot. I think a basic maintenance check, perhaps changing the filter, would have sorted it out quickly, but the landlady didn't seem interested in looking after the place. The kitchen equipment also seemed neglected. None of the two frying pans or three saucepans was really usable: their coatings were damaged to varying degrees, and the pans had been badly overheated, which can also be a health hazard. There was just one spatula, and it had sharp metal edges. The freezer compartment had probably never been defrosted, and I couldn't use it properly. The pillows were extremely thick and firm, one had lumpy filling, and both smelled a little musty. I documented the defects as best I could, though I couldn't capture the smell, and emailed the landlady suggesting a 25% rent reduction. It wouldn't have fixed anything, but would at least have been a fair gesture. Five minutes after I sent the email, she appeared and denied the problems, saying there was no mold and she couldn't smell anything. The argument got heated and went nowhere, then she drove off the property with her wheels spinning. A real shame, since otherwise the apartment could have earned an excellent rating. I hope raising these issues helps future tenants, as they all seem easy to fix.

The apartment was lovely and very clean, with tasteful decor. The owners were discreet but helpful, and took care of what was needed to make the stay go smoothly.

We'd booked and had the reservation confirmed on WhatsApp, but then the owner called to cancel because she'd mishandled the bookings. She suggested another place that meant driving for over half an hour in the dark. Since the mistake was hers, we told her sorting it out was her responsibility. I'm busy with other things myself, but when I have to take responsibility, I do what I can to make things right. Instead, she passed us to her partner, who hung up on us. It felt completely unwelcoming and was extremely rude. We'd been traveling for days and had met kindness and helpfulness everywhere else. A truly awful, unreliable experience.

It's very peaceful there, though finding the place is a real challenge. For a restaurant, you need to go into town, or you can choose to eat in. Everything you need is there, including a washing machine. The only issue is that they respond by text message only.
