The ground floor one-bedroom apartment was beautifully furnished, with a separate shower and toilet, plus a fully equipped kitchen. The attention to detail was excellent, and there was outdoor seating as well as a conservatory for less pleasant weather. You can also use the outdoor pool and hot tub. Zara and her husband made us feel very welcome, and Zara was always available with helpful local knowledge and recommendations. Breakfast is included and well worth having, as is Zara’s cooking.

Breakfast was a real treat, with Zara’s waffles and other delicious pastries, plus fresh orange juice and a good fresh fruit salad. We also ate at the communal table and loved it. The room was beautiful, and the kitchen next to it was handy for making dinner after a day out. Zara and Bernard put so much care into making the stay memorable. This is a top bed and breakfast address, and we’ll be back.

The room and its adjoining areas, including the fully equipped kitchen, veranda and bathroom, were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Zara and Bernard are wonderful, and sharing meals with everyone at the communal table made for a lovely time. Zara cooks beautifully, and we really enjoyed the food. Breakfast was homemade too, with cakes, crepes, juice and fresh fruit cups. The welcome was outstanding, beyond what you often get at a bed and breakfast. We stayed for an extended visit in July 2019. It’s a must-visit spot on the Ruys peninsula, and the view of the gulf from the room is stunning. Go without hesitation, almost.

The place was clean, functional and pleasant, and the service was perfect. We got a very friendly welcome, and they were flexible about arrival times. Breakfast was enormous. Highly recommended!
