ibis Montelimar Nord

The room was small, but clean and perfectly fine for one night. We got a very friendly welcome, and breakfast was very good. Having the Tesla supercharger with more than 50 stalls there adds real value to the hotel.

We ate really well here, especially the tagliatelle and prawns with curry sauce. The prices were very reasonable, the staff were great, and dogs are welcome.

The room made a lovely first impression: it was clean and cozy, with a nice little courtyard. The pool was freezing, though manageable, and the desserts were actually very good. Those were the few bright spots in a stay that ended with a really disappointing breakfast and dinner service. At breakfast there were no vegetables, and the omelet arrived cold. We had to check out, so there wasn't time to wait for it to be reheated. Dinner was much worse. Nobody greeted us when we arrived, and after sitting for ten minutes we had to ask for menus. A waiter with glasses told us to take them from another table, even as other guests were being welcomed and handed menus where they sat. The staff seemed completely lost. They forgot our salad and brought it out with the hot dishes instead. They apologized and offered free drinks, but those never came either. We tried three times to get help from a young blonde waitress in a white blouse and dark blue jeans. She said “sorry” each time and walked away without helping. Another waitress eventually took our order after we managed to stop her while she was heading to a different table. Later we ordered bruschetta and waited ten minutes. When we called the waitress with glasses, she asked if we wanted it now. The meal should not have taken that much effort to get served. The restaurant experience spoiled our evening and the final day of our vacation. We haven't been this disappointed in a long time, and this level of service is unacceptable.

They left us a note and a small gift after learning it was my wife's birthday. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming.
