The food was decent, though the portions felt small, and that left the stay feeling pretty average. We had a good laugh on the crazy golf course after a few pints, even though it was badly battered, apparently from the mower being driven into it. We were with our car club for Le Mans Classic, and the room was good value. We’d booked meals as a group, but the bar closed at 9:30 on Saturday because the person there thought we wouldn’t be around and was short-staffed. There were other guests in the hotel too. The fridges didn’t work, even after they brought us two replacements, so we gave up.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and we’ll come back again. It’s a handy place to stop on the way farther south from the port, and the food is amazing.

The restaurant has a lovely setting and a good range of food and wine. Our room was beautiful and clean, and the service was excellent. It’s a quiet village hotel.

The hotel is out in the countryside, a bit remote, and I even came across wild boars on the road. I was there for a business trip and had booked a basic room. I later found out the other rooms were more modern and felt more welcoming. The hospitality and service were excellent, and the restaurant is superb. You’ll eat very well there.
