We were hiking in the off-season and counting on our lodging and meals, but there was nothing we could eat. Dinner was a sour-smelling hamburger steak, fries that weren't cooked through, and a hard baguette. The jams we asked for were fermented or moldy, and breakfast was just as bad. There were empty wine and liquor bottles in the kitchen, no staff around, and the owner kept pushing us to open wine or have beer. When we arrived, he smelled of alcohol. The room itself was clean, but the rest of the place, including the toilet, clearly hadn't been cleaned. The key had already broken off in the lock, and with the owner continuing to drink, we were scared overnight and pushed furniture against the door. He wouldn't respond to our refund requests and was rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to cooperate. This was a completely unexpected shock, and we want to warn other guests.

We enjoyed a swim in the pool and the lovely garden. Our upstairs room was beautiful, with exposed beams and tasteful decor. The breakfast and games room had a varied, original style too. The home sits in a very pretty setting, and the hosts were welcoming and friendly.

The breakfast was generous, and the dining room was lovely. Everything was very clean and beautifully decorated. We were welcomed warmly, and the setting was peaceful and lovely.

A good base for summer holidays or trips focused on discovering the area. There are plenty of options, from canoeing and cycling to caves, diving, restaurants, and exhibitions.
