We had a valid Booking.com reservation, complete with confirmation and payment details, but the staff said it wasn’t valid and tried to make us pay twice the amount again. They were aggressive and hostile, wouldn’t answer our questions, and the situation quickly became intimidating. We had to call the police. The officers said this wasn’t the first time the hotel had done this and that it apparently had a reputation for scamming tourists this way. The whole holiday was thrown off, and we’re still shaken by what happened. Our stay was terrible, and we’re warning others to avoid this place for their own peace of mind. There was no customer service at all.

There wasn’t so much as a smile or a welcome. The male owner either can’t speak or acts like he can’t hear. The language gap wouldn’t matter if anyone made an effort to communicate, but the French arrogance here is next level. Breakfast felt like something from a Netflix show about prisoners. I wouldn’t spend a euro on what they serve.

We’d forgotten how early restaurants shut in small towns, but they still let us come in at about 2:15. The food was great, and the three main dishes came to around €50.

They call themselves biker friendly on the website, which is ironic since they don’t seem to like bikers at all. The woman running the place was really rude. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a friend.

It was packed because of the lavender festival on the 15th of august, but we still had a really nice time. The food was great, came quickly, and was worth the wait. I’ll be back.
