We booked room no. 16 at the "budget price" of 60 euros, thinking it would do for one night. That was a bad call. I should at least have brought plumbing supplies and my lawnmower/brushcutter. The back areas need clearing once the shutters are open, so the view would be pleasant. The room was "raw" and cold when we arrived at 7 p.m. Later, when I got up at night to use the rear toilet, I ended up with my feet in water from an unexplained leak. The toilet door has to stay ajar to avoid bumping into it, and I'm only 1.63m tall. There may have been a problem with the toilet or radiator. The sink was partly clogged even though we'd removed the plug. The owner said we didn't know how to use it. Could we have done better? The marble was also broken in two places. At 11 p.m., while we were fully asleep, people in the adjoining room, also apparently "budget," were showering, brushing their teeth, flushing, and talking. There was no TV, which is fine, back to basics. But the only outlet was at the bathroom entrance, unusable for either my razor or the eco-friendly air conditioning, a mobile fan. There was nothing in the room for charging a tablet, smartphone, or hearing aids, which I need at 77. The owner said we should have asked for an extension cord, just one, to run through the passageway. The bathroom vanity base was eaten away by moisture, and a vent at the bottom of the shower opens into the bedroom, causing condensation after showers. The blankets were outdated, the mattress protector looked homemade, and the bathroom linens were frayed. Apparently that was the dryer's fault. The paint and wallpaper were dated and damaged in both the bedroom and common areas. I'm not even getting into the standards, such as smoke detectors, which know how to be discreet. The owner and her son said we would have received other amenities if we'd paid the price. But the Tripadvisor comments about a family "suite" don't make that sound much more resplendent. The pool, at least, is beautiful, the surrounding lawn is well mowed, and a Canadian tent might have been just as nice. DOESN'T GIVE A GOOD IMAGE OF LOCAL TOURISM!

Our room was very basic but clean. The welcome, though, was so off-putting that we quickly wanted to turn around and leave. We arrived 20 minutes before the 3 pm check-in time listed in the rules. The owner wasn't happy and said she had errands to run. I offered to wait in my car, but she grumbled and took me to the room anyway. Breakfast was in a large enclosed room, and I would have preferred to sit outside in the morning. I don't understand the reviews calling it very good and generous. We got a basket with basic bread and croissants, some opened jam jars, and a fruit compote drink. For 10 euros, a little fresh fruit or melon wouldn't have been a luxury. The orange juice was sour, and the water they brought when I asked was lukewarm. I think the owner was making me pay for arriving 20 minutes early! 😅 We'd booked the pool, but it would have helped to know there were no steps and the minimum depth was 1.30 meters. The ladder was nowhere near that depth, so my husband, who can't swim, couldn't use it. Paying for our two nights was unpleasant too. We felt like we were bothering the owner, and she didn't thank us or ask how the stay had been. For us, this is a place to avoid. Keep walking...

The service and location are good, but even for a 2-star hotel, this is really low-end. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom cramped and very smelly, and the towels were worn out. Breakfast costs too much for what you get, it should be half the price.

The hoteliers were really friendly and helpful. Our lovely room had everything we needed, including a small balcony, and we could park right in front. The pool was ideal in the late afternoon. The outdoor area could perhaps use a little more care.
