Le Domaine de Provence Country Club

We were six people in June 2019 and booked a double apartment for eight with premium services. To get a special discount, we had to pay the full amount almost a year in advance. Although it was equipped for eight, there were only two bedrooms for four people total, so the other four had to sleep on sofas in the living room. The bathroom fittings were poor and the water flow wasn't good. Kitchen supplies were sparse, probably enough only for breakfast, and there was no dish soap or salt. Summer gets very hot here, and without air conditioning or window screens it was hard to cope, especially with several people in the room. On arrival the welcome was warm but confusing, and nothing was clearly explained. We had to ask for basics like toilet paper, waste bags, and a battery for the safe. The bakery delivery starts at 8:00am, too late if you're heading out early. The restaurant is known for good food, but service wasn't very good or consistent. After two or three visits we'd tried every dish on the menu and had to go into town for a change. We didn't use the pool because we went golfing every day. Parking was fine, with a gate code given on arrival, but it isn't close to the apartment. The location is convenient for town and shopping. To find the residence the first time, set your GPS to Golf Saumanes rather than the residence address.
