The rooms are very comfortable, well equipped and finished with exceptional attention to detail. You can tell the owners truly want guests to have an unforgettable stay. They’re friendly, communicative and gave us a warm welcome. The unique spot on the banks of the Loire has lovely scenery and a special charm, with an unmatched sense of peace. A delightful, one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

France and Xavier make you feel so welcome, almost like friends you’ve known for years. Their home has the same easy warmth, with tasteful touches and no pretension. Even breakfast was lovely.

A heads-up for motorcyclists: getting here means a very tight hairpin and a steep climb, so take it slowly and approach with humility. The place itself is a striking semi-troglodytic home right by the Loire, about 3 km from central Saumur. Xavier and France are generous hosts and the service is excellent.

We loved the elegance and beauty of the place, and France and Xavier were so kind and available throughout our stay. Our one regret is that we didn’t order dinner from them. Thank you for such a lovely visit.

Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the rooms were spectacular. We had a lovely welcome from the hosts in this wonderful country house. Highly recommended!
