My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Château. The owner and staff made us feel at home, and we had a lovely room and delicious breakfast. We'd definitely come back.

Breakfast around the big shared table was a lovely way to meet the other guests, and we also made good use of the heated outdoor pool. Mary, Conor and Monique were so warm and friendly that staying at Château Beaulieu felt like being with friends. We loved the whole stay in this beautiful château.

Our suite was gorgeous, with a freestanding tub and a big shower that had plenty of hot water. The château is just outside Saumur, with lots of shaded parking and well-kept grounds; there’s a good-sized pool behind the building too. Mary welcomed us so warmly. I’d assumed she was French until she heard us speaking English, then she switched into a lovely Irish accent. We’d been in Italy for a week and the south of France for three weeks before spending a couple of nights here on our way back to the UK. It gets a 10/10 from us, and we’d definitely come again.

It felt like a dream. The gardens, breakfast and staff were all wonderful, and the place has tasteful French antiques while still feeling homey. Mary, Connor and Monique were so warm and helpful. Many thanks from Geraldine, Ann, Sue and Helena, the Aussies.

We had a great room and could enjoy the garden and the rest of the house, including its swimming pool. Chateau de Beaulieu is a spacious, comfortable home, run by a very friendly Irish couple who are fond of France.
