In the morning, Flore helped us figure out which castles to visit and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and every detail felt just right. The place has so much history and charm, like stepping back in time. Jérémy, the owner, greeted us warmly despite our late arrival and upgraded both our rooms to beautiful suites. It was a magical stay, and we can’t recommend it enough.

We stayed for two nights in October 2025 while traveling around the Loire. It’s a lovely old mansion with a great atmosphere, helpful and polite staff, and spacious, nice rooms. The spa was surprisingly well equipped. I had a massage and booked the spa for an afternoon, both of which I’d absolutely recommend if you’re staying a night or two. A very nice 4 star plus B&B. Would recommend.

There are ten bedrooms and several public rooms, all decorated in a 1925 period style, and it looks beautiful. A closer look reveals the odd cracked tile and swollen window frame, which adds to the old-fashioned atmosphere. Breakfast is the only meal offered. Onsite parking is accessed through an electric gate, and you’ll need a PIN. There’s one EV charger with a fixed €20 fee.

We could walk into Saumur easily, and there’s secured parking for the car. The owner gave us a personal welcome, and the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and luxurious, with every comfort and a lovely garden view. Breakfast was generous and well prepared. This is a unique, small hotel in a beautiful, well-maintained city palace. It’s a wonder the building has been preserved so well. We’d love to return.

A lovely place to take a rest during our cycling holiday. Jeremy and Flore are great people and wonderful hosts. We had an amazing stay.
