The spacious family room on the top floor was clean and beautifully styled, and the accommodation and pool were a real delight. Breakfast had lots of choice and was very well laid out. Our hosts welcomed us warmly, showed us around, and were always ready to help, with plenty of suggestions for exploring the region. We had an excellent stay at La Seignère, and it's a must for anyone looking to relax in a beautiful setting.

This was the nicest place we stayed during our week in the Loire valley. The château has been completely renovated for comfort, with stylish decor throughout, large rooms reached by a couple of flights of stairs, and a very quiet atmosphere. The hosts were spectacularly friendly, and breakfast was great, with fresh bread, pastries, jams, cereal, cakes, and more. It's a few kilometers outside Saumur, just as we expected.

La Seignère worked perfectly for our family, and our two young boys loved exploring the peaceful, beautiful grounds. We looked forward to afternoon swims and walks by the Loire on our way to dinner in the village. Mornings began with great breakfasts before we headed to explore Saumur and the surrounding vineyards.

The only drawback is that there isn't a restaurant on site, so you need a taxi to get into town. The hosts were incredibly helpful and gracious, though. The hotel and grounds were beautiful and peaceful, and breakfast each morning in the lovely winter garden, with fresh fruit, bread, and condiments, was a great way to start the day.
