We’ve stayed here for years, and this time brought a group of cyclists on a Monday night in September. The meal was the highlight of our week, and the chef was clearly proud of what he’d made. Everyone loved it. The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the rooms are pretty nice too. We’d happily recommend it.

Jeremy and the staff went out of their way to make my stay as good as possible. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel sits in a beautiful spot. A great place to stop if you’re travelling through the area.

The restaurant food is amazing, and the staff do a great job. It’s a lovely place for a getaway, with spacious, comfortable rooms. If you’re nearby, this is a great place to stay.

The breakfast buffet was perfect, and Nathalie made us feel very welcome. I spent a wonderful night here with an American group, and everyone loved the hotel. Our menu was fantastic: gravlax salmon, chicken with garlic sauce and asparagus, plus sweet red pepper ice cream and chocolate ganache. The rooms were modern and beautiful. We’ll definitely come back.

The room was enormous, with a huge, very comfortable bed, a good sized desk for work, another small table and a comfortable chair for eating. The bathroom was beautiful too, and that deep bath was just what I needed after days on the road. I slept really well with owls calling in the trees outside. The view across the foothills of the Pyrenees in the morning was lovely, and the place is so peaceful. I was travelling for work for several days and arrived in the region late one evening, so I called Hotel du Barry after Google Maps showed a few nearby options. Luckily they were open, had a room, and were serving food, which was hard to find during those crazy Covid days. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the chef came out to ask if we wanted something to eat. He mentioned a fresh gnocchi special with cheddar sauce and shaved truffles. I chose the beef cheeks, and was delighted when they brought my meal to the room with some of the chef’s special on the side. What delicious food. It’s sad that the beautiful restaurant was closed because of the virus. Breakfast was superb too. They have their own chickens for free range eggs, and I understand there are a couple of pigs as well. The menagerie would be fun for kids. It was a lovely surprise to find this gem of a hotel and spa tucked away in the countryside. I hope work brings me back, and I’d love to return with my family once the Covid craziness has passed, so we might enjoy the spa, pool, tennis court and walks in the surrounding hills. I can’t recommend Hotel du Barry enough. Thank you for your charm, elegance, hospitality and wonderfully welcoming hotel. I hope you get through this difficult period, and I look forward to coming back. Merci beaucoup. À bientôt.
