The meal was nearly perfect, especially the main protein, which was cooked just right. The garnish could have used a bit more care. Service was great, and the rooms were nice and tidy. We were on the top floor, where the ceiling felt a little low, and there was no Wi-Fi. The city center is close, though still a bit too far to walk with kids.

Breakfast had a good range, from croissants, bread and jam to cake and different mueslis, so there was something for every taste. We also had a first-class meal: caprese with ham, wonderful fish ragout, veal cutlet, and salad with terrine. The staff were really friendly. The villa itself is an old, sprawling place with an eclectic feel, huge gilded mirrors and spacious rooms with tasteful decor. Our suite had a foyer, a large bedroom and a lovely mountain view. The bathroom was bright and clean, with its original tiles.

We had a great restaurant meal and a good buffet breakfast. The bed was firm, but comfortable, and the Wi-Fi gave us a little trouble. There was even a balcony off the bathroom, which was an unusual touch.

The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, and the pool was clean and clearly well looked after. Our room had plenty of towels, a mini fridge and a spacious balcony, so it was well equipped. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant was a real highlight, with every course delicious and the pudding especially memorable. Service felt friendly and nicely paced. We had a lovely, characterful room too, with a big comfortable bed.
