For around 60 euros for a double, the price was adequate for an upscale motel, and it was okay for a last-minute booking. The public areas were decent, the service helpful, and breakfast adequate. But my room didn’t look like the one shown online and wasn’t the same quality. The walls were bare, both in the room and breakfast area, so it didn’t feel luxurious.

The hotel is now good value for money. It had become quite dated before, but the renovation quality is a surprise. The facade work, completed in November 2018, has transformed the building. There’s an entirely new management team that seems intent on bringing back the former glory the hotel had lost over the past few decades. Many rooms have been redone with impeccable taste and a modern feel.

The staff were very welcoming, and the bedding was comfortable. My room was clean, but poorly soundproofed, and I ended up next to some very noisy people. I guess I wasn’t given a refurbished room. Exterior work is still going on too.

Horrible. The place was dirty, with hair everywhere, and the rooms were awful, nothing like the photos. The bathrooms felt like the ones on trains. A hotel for animals, not people. They got two stars!!!
