Our 8-meter camper truck had plenty of room on the spacious pitches, and there are lots of power hook-ups plus a place to refill water. Caravans and tents are welcome too. We spent a week here with friends exploring the area, and Luc was keen to help make our stay pleasant. He speaks French and Dutch. Cocoon de Mendet is in the quiet village of Savignac de Nontron, with plenty of forest nearby. If you want ideas for day trips, Luc can point you in the right direction. A large Intermarché and Lidl are about a 10-minute drive away. There are also two-bedroom apartments with a living room, fully equipped kitchen, and roomy bathroom. If you don't need anything special, there's a very affordable little sleeping space, about 3x3 meters, with a shower and toilet.

We shared the campervan parking area for €10 for 24 hours, including water and electricity. It's a large, tidy, quiet place, though a few cars pass during working hours. The bed and breakfasts are on site as well. Great spot, and thanks to the Belgians, whom we unfortunately didn't get to meet.

It's a really peaceful place out in the French countryside, with electricity and water available. The camper pitches are set up so you can find a level spot straight away. We got a very friendly welcome, and the gentleman speaks Dutch too. The photo shows a landscape nearby.

We spent a fantastic week at COCOON DE MENDET with our motorhome. The Belgian couple who welcomed us were super friendly. They're also organizing a Fête de la Musique evening on June 21st, so book as soon as possible. We'll leave it at that and let you discover the Périgord region for yourselves. A nice motorhome area and a friendly welcome. Just be warned, there's nowhere to empty grey or black water. That's a shame when it costs €10.
