We loved the beautiful, classic setting, and the rooms were really nice. The hosts were lovely too. Breakfast had all the usual generous French B&B choices, plus homemade treats and preserves that went so well with them. We were sorry our schedule didn't leave us time to take up Lea and Pierre's offer of dinner.

We stayed here on the way to and from our rented Gite in the Dordogne, after finding Closerie la Fontaine on a website. It's an atmospheric, cosy, striking old property, clearly much loved by its owners. The period furniture and room decor suited it well, and both rooms were large enough for two adults and two children. Fresh Croissants and coffee made for a great breakfast. If we head back to the Dordogne, we'll book here again.

Lea was a lovely host, and breakfast was really nourishing, with plenty of homemade food. We had a wonderful time at Closerie La Fontaine.

We stayed in a beautiful old French house in a quiet village, right in the centre of the Loire- et indre chateau region. The host was friendly and breakfast was delicious.
