The fizzy Riesling was a real highlight, and there’s plenty more to choose from here. We found wines from across Alsace, from Sylvaner to Pinot Noir, including reds, whites, Cremants and still wines. It’s well off the beaten track, but absolutely worth the detour.

The Rittersberg Riesling was the standout, and Aude did a great job explaining the wines. There was a clear difference between the regular whites and the Rittersberg versions, which I’d definitely recommend. We also finished with a 2019 Gewürztraminer Grand Cru, full of lovely aromas and layers of flavor. I tasted two Pinot Noirs, including an excellent oaked one, plus a very fruity Pinot Noir Rosé. Of the two lovely Cremants, the Riesling was especially good. It won a Coup de Coeur from Hachette, and I can see why.

We’ve been coming here for four generations, and I’m sure we’ll keep doing so. Every visit leaves us satisfied, and the value for money is excellent. It’s a family business with real expertise and award-winning products. I highly recommend it. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

The shop had plenty of lovely things to choose from, including items that would make nice gifts. I was warmly welcomed and got to taste some really delicious wines. The advice about the different wines was excellent, and it helped me make a great choice.
