The room turned out to feel spacious and cozy, even though the website lists it as only 20m. The high ceiling and clever layout add a second level for sleeping. I really enjoyed the interiors, the exterior, and how friendly the staff were. The castle-like place made me feel like a princess, and I’d love to return in the warm season.

The bar was closed for a private event, which I understand, but they offered no alternative and left guests with little reason to stay. The rooms also fell short on cleanliness, with a thick layer of dust on the lampshades and lamps. My parents-in-law had to switch rooms because their bathroom smelled foul. A white cover hid the worn desk chair, but it was stained with coffee or dirt underneath. It was too expensive for this experience, and we wouldn’t come back.

We were lucky to find this place. The peaceful castle architecture by Lac Lemon is breathtaking, near Port du Sciez and overlooking Switzerland. It offers fine dining and hotel accommodation, and anyone who gets the chance to stay or have dinner here is in for a pleasant atmosphere and a surprise.

It looks impressive from outside, but it didn’t work for a business trip. There’s no air conditioning, and the toilet smells awful. The fridge doesn’t work for chilling food, and there’s no iron or ironing board, so I had to go to client meetings looking awful. The internet connection is poor, which made it impossible to work.

The restaurant is delicious, and the reception staff are friendly. Beautiful place. Try to get the dungeon room, though I’m not sure that’s the right name.
